12-week inductionEvery new colleague receives a structured induction tailored to their role and service. It combines:
- Care Certificate learning
- E-learning and face-to-face training
- Service and role-specific learning
- Shadowing experienced colleagues
- Buddy shifts and practical support
- Time to get to know your team and the people you will support
Your induction is not simply about completing courses. It helps you understand how each person wants to be supported and gives you the confidence to put your learning into practice.
Specialist care training
As a specialist care provider, we offer training shaped around your role and the needs of the people you support. Depending on your role and service, this may include:
- Learning disability and autism support
- Mental health and trauma-informed care
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Understanding behaviours of distress
- Communication skills
- Epilepsy and complex health needs
- Brain injury and neurological support
- Safeguarding, medication and risk management
- Mental capacity, choice and least restrictive practice
Training is delivered through a blend of online learning, workshops, practical sessions, mentoring and learning alongside experienced colleagues.
Keep learning throughout your career
Learning continues beyond induction. Regular supervision, reflective conversations, peer learning and focused training give you opportunities to strengthen your practice and develop new skills.
We will support you to identify personal and professional goals that reflect your role, interests and career ambitions.
Develop your career your way
Career development looks different for everyone. You may want to deepen your specialist knowledge, gain a qualification, take on additional responsibility or progress into leadership and management.
Where relevant to your role and development plan, opportunities may include funded qualifications, specialist training and leadership development.
